For the past two weeks, I have been working on this cross stitch of Frida Kahlo. One of my best friends loves Frida so I decided to make a personal and handmade Christmas gift for her. I finished it today, just in time to use it for this week’s project. I think it turned out amazing especially because I don’t have much experience with cross stitching. I followed a template so it wasn’t too difficult. As for what I would do differently, I would make her shirt more defined as well as the flowers on her head.

  1. My original vision was to paint little ghosts around a pumpkin.
  2. I added glitter to the ghosts.
  3. Yes, it’s exactly what I planned.
  4. I think it came out stronger because the original sketch only included black and white paint. If I didn’t add the glitter, it would be boring.
  5. I wanted to use paint this week because I enjoy it more than drawing. This project is extremely simple and I’m sure anyone could replicate it but it was meant to be a decoration outside my house for Halloween.
  6. I would paint the pumpkin a background color and add a third coat of white paint so the ghosts would be more opaque.
